Hurricane Frances Hits Florida September 4-6, 2004

Less than a month after Hurricane Charley ravaged western Florida, Hurricane Frances made landfall in the eastern section of the state. It then moved out over the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall again in the Florida Panhandle. The storm knocked out power to 3 million and killed more than a dozen people in Florida. Users of AccuWeather's RadarPlus service tracked the storm before it came onshore, as it raked across Florida, and even after it made its second landfall in the Florida Panhandle.
